Sleep Apnea Can Lead To Serious Conditions

Sleep apnea can b as a chronic health condition where affected patients stop breathing repetitively during sleep. Such breathing pauses can last 15 seconds or more. It causes reduced oxygen levels in a patient’s blood. Another type of sleep apnea is obstructive apnea which is caused by the obstruction of the upper airway. On the other hand, central sleep apnea is caused by brain failing to initiate a breath. This can cause and make worse medical conditions such as heart failure, diabetes, stroke, and hypertension. The duration and frequency on breathing lapses can be mild, severe, and moderate sleep apnea.
